We are currently looking for live-in staff members who can start working with us from November 2026.

Job Description
You will mainly help with the daily operation of Expo Hostel & Cottage and Expo House, including:
・Cleaning guest rooms and common areas
・Bed making
・Other simple daily hostel tasks
Working Hours
Shift-based schedule Approximately 45 hours per month
Main working hours: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Accommodation & Benefits
・A private room in our international share house, Expo House, will be provided.
・The share house is located about a 2–5 minute walk from the workplace.
・Additional working hours beyond the regular schedule will be paid at ¥1,200 per hour.
You may also have opportunities to join local and seasonal activities in Kyoto, such as:
・New Year mochi-making
・Gozan Okuribi
・Hiking
・Other local events
It is a good opportunity not only to work in Kyoto, but also to experience everyday local life.
Recruitment period
Starting from November 2026
Minimum: 4 months
Maximum: 1 year
Requirements
＜Required＞
・Able to work with us for at least 4 months
・Must have a valid visa or residence status that allows you to work legally in Japan
・Able to communicate in Japanese in everyday situations (approximately JLPT N3 level or above)
・Able to communicate in basic English
・Able to clean and organize spaces carefully and thoroughly
・Able to notice what needs to be done and take initiative, rather than only waiting for instructions
・Able to ask questions, report problems, and communicate with staff when something is unclear or goes wrong
・Comfortable living with people from different countries and cultural backgrounds
・Able to follow the rules of the share house and be considerate of other residents
＜Preferred / Welcome＞
・Experience cleaning in hotels, hostels, guesthouses, or other accommodation facilities
・Experience with housekeeping or bed making
・Currently staying in Japan on a Working Holiday visa
・Interested in Kyoto, local life, and international exchange
・Detail-oriented and able to notice problems and take initiative to improve things
・Enjoy working and communicating as part of a team
About the Accommodation
Each live-in staff member will have their own private room at Expo House.
We cannot accommodate friends, couples, or partners together in the same room.
Regardless of your relationship, each room is for one person only.
